FARMHOUSE TERRALIVA
The old farmhouse is surrounded by hilly country where you can
feel a sense of peace. It is situated in the heart of the Iblei
Mountains close to the province of Ragusa , near the small
mountain village of Buccheri (800 m. ASL), which is about an
hour’s drive from Siracusa, one of the most beautiful and famous
art loving cities and architectural and historical centres of
Eastern Sicily. The owner has restored the structure, originally
built as a stronghold, and reinstated the ancient splendour of
the old cottages (1000 sq.m. altogether), which were built with
tufo (limestone) and local volcanic stone, respecting the
harmony of the environment.
